On September 20, 2023, Dr.-Ing. Weihan Li was honored with the vgbe Innovation Award, which includes a prize of €5,000, by the vgbe Research Foundation. This award recognizes his outstanding work on the Cloud-based Battery Management System. The developed system is an intelligent, interconnected solution that not only enhances battery performance and lifespan but also contributes to transparency regarding the condition of batteries. The award ceremony took place as part of the vgbe Congress in Berlin.

The vgbe Innovation Award underscores the industry's innovative prowess and acknowledges exceptional achievements of young university graduates and emerging professionals in the field of electricity and heat generation and storage (age limit: 35 years). The award carries a total prize fund of €10,000 and is presented in two categories: "Application" and "Future."
